"Cryptozoon" is a series of electro-acoustic sound work composed & produced by Kazuyuki Kishino aka KK NULL between 2008 and 2011, which consists of five parts and total duration is 2 hours 53 minutes and 11 seconds.
The field recordings used on "Cryptozoon" were recorded at various locations in Australia, Canada, Europe and Japan between 2006 and 2010 with a portable wav recorder.
However, "Cryptozoon" is NOT a simple field recording album at all. I used the sound of nature as one of the materials and processed them and synthesized with electronic sound to create this unique electro-acoustic compositions.
"Cryptozoon" is brutal, cosmic and intense as well as my other works, but maybe a bit more organic and earthy. Several years experience in the bush and forest inspired my creativity and gave new color and timbre on my music.
Subsequently, "Cryptozoon quadraphonic mix" was commissioned by INA-GRM and premiered at the Festival Presences Electronique in Paris, France on the 6th of April, 2013.
Then, "Cryptozoon X" was released from Aagoo Records as DVD includes quadraphonic mix (52:41) and stereo mix (54:07).
